Covert from BCB5 to BDS 2007

Postby jmpclr » Wed Mar 10, 2010 2:29 pm

I am converting a large program from BCB5 to BDS2007. It is now running. I use TBitBtn's but they they do not display as in
another program that I built from scratch . I have looked for a property that will enable an alternative display but cannot find anything. I did find TBitBtn->Style but this did not change it.

The button's display is influenced by several different properties. As a start, check that all the property settings of the faulty buttons match those of the correctly working buttons.

To make the check easier, fire up a second copy of BCB, and open the faulty project in one IDE, and the good one in the other IDE -- and just switch between them.

Can you provide screenshots? What exactly is not displaying correctly? Do you have XP Themes enabled in the project?

Hi Remy:

Thank You for the hint on XP Themes. I added the manifest file as per the Help Instructions and it worked like a charm.
